Spring, 2020

Dear Vendors and Customers,

We have held our very first virtual meeting—and it wasn’t that hard! So many things are in the air, subject to change, never been done before...so we have made some plans; tabled some things, cancelled some things.

As of our first ever Zoom meeting: our Spring Vendor Meeting is currently cancelled. We will be mailing out packets of information to all of our vendors. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please do contact us so we may send you information. The annual rummage sale is cancelled. The Market will open as planned on June 27, 2020. Subject to change, all market events are currently on hold.

We will be following the best practices as outlined in the COVID-19 Guidance for Farmers Markets-this is also subject to change. Right now, farmers markets are allowed to sell: meat; eggs; vegetables, fruits, herbs, food-type plants; baked goods; canned goods; jams/jellies; and hygiene products.

Crafts and Craft Vendors are currently considered non-essential, and are not currently allowed to sell or arrange for pickup at the Market. We are sad about this, and have several ideas to help you remain in your/our customers memory and to help you continue to sell your products. Please contact us!

While we understand that these measures have been taken out of an abundance of caution for everyone involved, we are confidant that, despite the short-term changes, we can work together to find ways to maintain the relationships between vendors and customers that are so important to the success of our farmers market. Please feel free to reach out to the Board with any suggestions/questions you may have as we move forward toward the 2020 market season.

Sincerely yours,

Your Board:
Bruce Dalman, President
Grace Swartz, VP
Deb Tijan, Secretary
Shelly Roncali, Treasurer
Darrin Kimbler, John Nuce, Jacey Roncali, Board Members

Market Upgrades Continue . . .

Thank you to the many community volunteers for your support to help improve our market. We also would like to thank Xcel Energy for their support with the electrical project.

We plan to continue making much needed improvements at our market.  We will hopefully have a shed up by spring when the weather permits to put our market supplies and store things to use for special events. When funds become available we would like to work on the roof next.

If you would like to make a donation, you can make a donation below, email us at ironcountyfarmersmarket@gmail.com, or visit our market on Wednesday afternoons or on Saturday mornings, from June to Oct.  Any donation is greatly appreciated.
